Dr. Andreas Frehn

Dr. Andreas Frehn is Materion’s Director of Technology and Innovation and Technical Marketing for Europe and the Middle East. He studied metallurgy and material science at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and later got his PhD on the subject of formability of modern austenitic stainless steels. Dr. Frehn has worked in materials development and applications throughout his career. Prior to Materion, he was the Head of Global Materials Technology at Benteler Automotive in Germany. With Materion since 2020, Dr. Frehn is responsible for ongoing research and development on various topics and applications.
