Dr. Ravi Aswathanarayanaswamy

Ravi Aswathanarayanaswamy is Principal Materials Scientist in Renishaw plc’s additive manufacturing group. He holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Manchester and previously worked at the University of Birmingham on additive manufacturing of titanium and nickel superalloys. Since joining Renishaw in 2013, he has specialised in laser powder bed fusion process development across a range of alloys. Ravi now leads Renishaw’s process parameter development team, focusing on improving part density, mechanical performance, fatigue properties, quality, and productivity in additively manufactured components.
