Lynne Porter

Lynne Porter leads the UKRI Strength in Places Fund, a £350m UKRI programme with the aim of helping areas of the UK build on existing strengths in research and innovation to deliver benefits for their local economy. There are 13 projects, including Midlands Advanced Ceramics.  Projects have focused on a self-defined area, anywhere in the UK, to bring businesses and research organisations together in partnership to generate impact.  It is the first large scale, experimental, place based research and innovation programme in the UK.
