Ameir Mahgoub is Head of Product Engineering at UKBIC, where he leads the development of scale-up solutions for advanced lithium-ion cells—including tab-less cylindrical and pouch formats—as well as module and pack. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a career spanning Rolls-Royce (thermo-mechanical simulation of gas turbine components) and Ceres Power (solid oxide fuel cell modelling), Ameir brings deep cross-sector experience to battery innovation. His current focus includes design for manufacturing, process simulation, data modelling, and safety compliance, supporting the industrialisation of UKBIC’s Mk2 cell platform and enabling scalable, high-integrity energy storage systems. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
