Dr. Jafar Daji

Dr Jafar Daji is Technical Manager at Parkinson Spencer Refractories Ltd (PSR). He joined PSR in 2009 after working as a Materials Scientist and Project Manager at Morgan Advanced Materials in Swansea. He obtained a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Leeds subsequently continuing there as a postdoctoral research fellow before moving into industry. 

His professional interests include high temperature materials (particularly refractories and ceramics for glass and other demanding applications), materials technology, process improvement, and decarbonisation. 

He is a member of the Society of Glass Technology.  

He serves on the External Advisory Board for the Department of Materials at the University of Manchester.
