Jason Farrell

Jason Farrell has worked in the UK nuclear sector for around 20 years, in industrial, consultancy and academic roles. His main technical area of interest is nuclear fuels and materials, while he has also worked on other topics in nuclear generation, decommissioning and radioactive waste management. For the past two years he has been working with Lucideon (AMRICC) and a selection of UK universities (Sheffield, Nottingham, Royce at Manchester) on a major experimental project relating to immobilisation of actinide materials in a zirconolite-based wasteform. This work involved the first use of AMRICC’s new Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) system.
